This 2024 GivingTuesday, join Sone Yay Foundation's "Collective flow of compassion: Breaking the cycle of crisis in Myanmar" campaign to provide life-saving emergency aid to those suffering in crisis regions.
The United Nations reports a devastating rise in airstrikes across Myanmar—over 588 in just five months—leaving 3.5 million displaced and over 5 thousand dead. Families are caught in a worsening humanitarian crisis, with hunger, homelessness, and fear escalating daily.
We must not let Myanmar become a forgotten crisis. Your donation can provide life-saving aid—food, shelter, and essential supplies—to those suffering the most.
To meet new challenges, we’ve set up this campaign with a goal of $25,000. With your help, Sone Yay Foundation can reach this goal and continue the work we’ve set out to do in this campaign.
How Your Donation Makes a Difference
1.Shelter and Emergency Life Protection (60% of Funds) - In times of crisis and ongoing air strikes, we support building temporary air-raid protection shelters, and lifesaving jackets and helmets in targeted areas.
2. Food, Clean drinking water and Essential Supplies (40% of Funds) - Millions have been displaced with little more than the clothes on their backs and lack of formal education over 4 years.
We provide critical aid including food, clean drinking water stations, winter blankets, and essential emergency supplies to help vulnerable families and their school children begin rebuilding their lives and continue learning journey in crisis.

- $55 per shelter - Air-raid shelters prioritizing vulnerable populations such as seniors, pregnant women, and children
