Since 2022, our Sone Yay team has been supporting political prisoners and their families with healthcare, providing 50,000 MMK per household monthly. This year marks our 3rd year, aiding a total of 767 households (41,373,962 MMK) as of March 2025 data.
If Calculated at 5,000 MMK per person, that’s support already covered for 7,675 prisoners of conscience and their family members.
We deeply admire young leaders, who quietly help political prisoners ensure continuous aid for these forgotten prisoners. But when we think of someone like Ma Shwe Sin Sin, lost to the hardships of prison, it weighs heavy on our hearts.
